How I Work

As a qualified counsellor, I work flexibly and creatively to enable my clients to explore troubling issues, thoughts and feelings, within the ethical framework of the BACP.

I use a combination of my qualities and set of skills to aid and develop personal awareness enabling opportunity for change/growth. I use my advanced listening and empathic skills to create a supportive space in which the material that you choose to share can be explored confidently in a sensitive and supportive manner at pace dictated by you the client.

I offer counselling to young people and adults on an individual basis. I can work with you for an agreed number of weeks or we can agree an open ended long term counselling relationship, depending on what you want. We can discuss this during the initial meeting.

Some people want to talk about a specific issue in their lives and have a goal or ending in mind; others look for the safety, support and time that may require a longer term counselling relationship to explore deeper issues.

Whichever is the case, I can support you.

If you would like to check my availability or have any questions please contact Douglas Therapy 0n 07476 137 493  or info@douglastherapy.co.uk to discuss.
